A silent auction will be held on-site at the registration booth during the Aldo Leopold Celebration in Nutrioso, Arizona. The raffle is for a half day guided fly-fishing trip near the Escudilla Wilderness for 2 persons, valued at $250.00. The donation is through Arizona Mountain Adventures, and licensed guide Wendy Krueger. See details of the trips and area at www.azmtnadventures.com All proceeds will benefit the efforts of the WMCL.
The highest bidder will be able to redeem the trip anytime between September 12, 2009 and June 30, 2010. The trip includes use of rods, leaders, flies, instruction and transport to the fishing location from the lodging (lodging to be in Alpine, Greer, or Springerville area, and is not included). The bidder will need to purchase an Arizona fishing license for that day if they do not already have one. The winning bidder will schedule the trip through Wendy, depending on availability and time of year.
The winner of the silent auction will be determined Sunday before the lunch break. The winner will pay White Mountain Conservation League at the time of the closing. All contact information for booking the trip will be made available to the winner at that time.
This is a wonderful opportunity to experience small stream fly-fishing in Arizona.
